"ZEDD" A bRiEf BiOgRaPhY Zedd was born with Music and Singing in his blood. His father was a singer, although not proffessional, and his Uncle was in his own band doing scottish country folk music. Like Saffire, Zedd was being given records to listen to on an old record player and would pump up the volume on any given opportunity to get the full feeling of all the songs he would play. Zedd at an early age would stand with the hair brush and perform an impression of the singers and bands he would listen to, and perfrom at his parents parties on any given occasion. He was an born entertainer, and alongside singing, he was a bit of a comedian also. Life was hard but there were no complaints, and music was simply a way of life for Zedd. As Zedd grew into a yougster, he wanted to become a D.J., and did that for a while until he learned how to do a piece of rap music, and there after, he became a Break Dancer. Writing his own lyrics into Rap songs, Zedd kept at it, as he wanted to become a star, and as the years went on his songwriting improved in his skills towards Hip Hop Music. After losing his mother and later his father Zedd was finished. Life done, until one day ,he went out and noticed a beautiful young girl singing at a local singing competition and when she finished, Zedd approached this singer and said he enjoyed her singing and stated she had talent, the female later became Saffire. Later, the two got together and discussed the past, the future, and became friends, to later become an Item. Zedd wanted Saffire to sing on a Rap song and the two were in and out of the studio with new ideas all the time, and Zedd had his rock to help him in his hard time and his stone was Saffire. From Rap to Hip Hop to Dance To Rock the years took a lot on. After the Rock band called it a day, they disbanded leaving both Zedd and Saffire to get on with looking for a deal themselves. After a depressive stage, the two got talking strongly as to how non-talented people get there while they struggle all the time, and Saffire brought up the idea of a Dance/Pop type band, and a while later they got writing strongly and Zedd gave Saffire her strongest position in Othelio ever, and that of Co-singer/songwriter as Saffire has written alonside Zedd some potential hit songs. After meeting ex-stars and receiving advice, they both met their new addition Geoff, a musician and song music writer also, and the 3 got together and produced all their own tracks. Zedd contacted overseas labels etc., and quickly received A short lived deal from a sinking springboard label, but later received a call from John Gocha’ in the USA, who wanted to sign Othelio to his Planet Earth Records Label and thus we are now witnessing the beginning of something new, fresh, unique, "So LiStEn LoUd & TuRn YoUr HeAd SaFfIrE’s DeSiRe BeLoNg’S wItH ‘ZeDd’ " "SAFFIRE" ThE bRiEf BiOgRaPhY Saffire was born in Edinburgh, Scotland,UK Into the world of Music as her father was in his own band, so it took off from there. Saffire has tackled through the hard knocks that life through at her and it wasn’t easy for her, as she had to find her feet from a young age, she would spend all her pocket money on record collections and her mother would pass on all her old singles to her and she would continuously play the record, until the needle would break. She put herself forward for competitions and if not a winner, then a close second. Her family went to a competition at which Saffire’s father entered at a Holiday Camp. He came in second and that’s when Saffire knew that she was so much like her father inside, and wanted to follow in his footsteps and one day take it further, and one day entertain the world. That later came out, and evolved her into a stronger character and a desire to finally succeed in the very hard market to which we call "Music Industry". Working in everyday jobs was putting a somewhat stoppage on saffire’s dreams as she tried to use her unique vocal talents as much as possible. Saffire met a strange, unique and somewhat funny guy at a club where there were people whom were singing at a competition where saffire had used her vocal talents to win 1st prize and was kissed on the hand by this stranger whom told her she had talent and the stranger later turned out to be Zedd!! Saffire and Zedd took off and talked and could not believe how compatable and alike they both were when it came down to their ambition to break into the music business and within days they became an Item and also a team determined to make all their Dreams come true!! Zedd was doing Rap music at the time and Saffire would run the chorus parts for their songs and later Saffire would do Rap vocals!! They played some small gigs and people loved all the songs that they were performing. All their songs were done at a Studio in their home town, and Saffire and Zedd later recorded a Dance/Rap song, "Pump It Up", later to be re-done as ‘Move Your Body’ and they performed at bigger venues and it took off right away. They sent off to record labels whom sent rejection notes and they both thought that they were not good enough, but carried on with live performances until later and they turned to each other for re-assurance and Zedd asked Saffire to become his full term partner and along with a band they went into Alternative Rock and gigged, done studio’s and sent to Record labels etc and this went on for a good few years as they were very determined until the rest off the band left. Saffire was frustrated and did not trust anyone in the Music Biz and after a few weeks depressive Moods Saffire spoke to Zedd about Dance and Pop Music and how they were talented and could beat this take over off manufactured swarm off non-talent and they got writing again and done Studio work and the songs were getting better everytime. They were Produced by good Teams in The UK and Even German producers got in on the act!! Saffire knew that they were getting somewhere but not in the right place again!! Saffire also lost her mother in that particular time which was a blow to her but she had to carry on if not for her then for her mother. Saffire wrote some lyrics to several songs and Zedd was Impressed & one off these songs evolved into ‘(I’m In) Heaven’ and the new vocal talent off Saffire was finally here!!! Now people were taking notice off this beautiful Songstress and later they were mingling with the likes off Ex 70s stars etc, with the advice Saffire Listened that their songs would go better abroad first and Saffire and Zedd targeted the USA And worked with new friend and musician Geoff. They Recorded and Wrote new songs and sent them abroad which is a hard market to break. They quickly signed to a springboard label whom eventually went down the pan, angry and down. Saffire picked up the phone as it rang out and it was John Gocha’ from Planet Earth Records, in USA, whom wanted to Othelio. Now Saffire is at the beginning of her dreams, and will become a Success.... She is New, Now, A Desire……. "SaFfIrE" Geoff A bRiEf BiOg..… Geoff has a strange and unusual background when it involves music. Like the rest of Othelio, Geoff was Born in the UK and was always interested in the music business, and wanted to be in an act that was playing and putting music out to the masses. Under his parents, he attended school with an immediate interest in music, and began learning the piano, which later moved him into other instruments, which later resulted in electronic synth, etc. He grew up with a love of listening to bands and singer/songwriters in different aspects and styles of music, and while playing different records, he loved not only song lyrics, but also the way that certain instruments were being played, and this love grew into a more hands on experience, which grew into a fascination of playing keyboards. After growing into this world, Geoff joined several bands, but nothing had made his life complete where music was concerned as he listened to all types of acts break into the biz and realized harder work and something better to work on was more on his mind before he could even think of putting himself up for grabs again !!! Geoff started working on building his instruments, and began with studio work on dance music and was missing lyrics to complete these songs or even needed to work on stuff with people with the same visions. After spotting an advert in a music magazine, Geoff decided to call and arranged a meeting with 2 people whom turned out to be called "Othelio" a.k.a. "Zedd" and "Saffire". Geoff loved there visions and ideas, and went to work on the "Othelio" music, and later recorded the vocals of "Othelio" and they got a deal with a small springboard label which in a matter of months sank to the dirt beneath their feet, but "Othelio" had already drew the Interest from another Label whom had the assets and ideas to move "Othelio" to the top of the music world. Now signed to Planet Earth Records in the USA, good things are about to begin for Othelio…. |
